Artist statement. My inspiration for figurative art came originally from drawing and painting Some of the artwork/ideas intend to convey a meditative/ethereal and reflective ambiancedifferent life models, many times whilst at Art College. My personal reason
for specialising in figurative art & pursuing it, was simply discovering
how vast a subject figuration is; both historically [e.g.
classical subject matter] & in its interpretation. [I find the figure to be a
very versatile vehicle in expressing representational/abstract/expressionistic/impressionistic ideas etc, through
the use of different media etc.]

My paintings draw from many influences from various other artists, which
especially include Renaissance artwork, and more Modernist work by artists
such as Balthus, Mattise, Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiel. These different
influences are reflected in the various styles/ideas I use to produce the
 artwork.
